JOHN AGGREY

John graduated with a Master’s degree (MSc) from York University after his Bachelor of Science degree in Geomatics Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He made it a point to gain work experience after school, in various engineering positions.

His research interests and work include the enhancement and development of positioning filtering, functional models, stochastic models, and prediction models of GNSS data processing. He is a crucial part of the Precise Point Positioning Team and has been investigating various low-cost receivers, both geodetic and smartphones to analyse their positioning accuracy.

When he is not behind his 5-monitor computer station setup working, he is busy behind his laptop on Steam video games saving the world and being awesome at it. He loves the arts and is a fine artist himself as well as a poet and story writer. If 5k foam fests are considered as sports, John boasts of 2 medals and has an enviable record in go-carting.
